I was on the Design Team and collaborated with multiple teams and various management levels to produce this game within our 3 month deadline. The entire project had 30+ members work on it and was developed in Unity. This project created many learning opportunities, especially in SCRUM management and workflow. This video was provided by our team members for portfolio purposes.
VR Kitchen Simulator Concept
(Video plays audio)
My role included developing some of the VR mechanics and User Interface on top of 3D assets. For this team project, members included various sound designers, programmers and artist. The goal of this project was to produce a prototype for cooking pancakes in VR. This video was provided by my team members for demonstration and portfolio purposes. Created with Unity and HTC Vive VR Headset.
Nyctophobia Game
Developed in Unreal Engine
Nyctophobia was a proof of concept demo that I and several others worked on to showcase a potential horror game that utilized a character switching mechanic. The game was called “Nyctophobia” (fear of the dark) and it uses dark areas with low visibility in order to create atmosphere as well as challenge. The player assumes control of both the human Tomio, and his robot partner LED, each of the two characters possess different abilities. LED can light up and traverse dark spaces and use super strength to push objects around, while Tomio can open doors, and fit into small spaces. Tomio will die if consumed in darkness, and LED cannot progress alone, they must work together to succeed and make it through the levels.
For the purposes of our demo we created 3 short levels, some low quality models, and some collectable audio logs to convey some elements of story. I was in charge of creating and implementing 3D assets into Unreal Engine.
